An expanding Wiltshire-based recruitment company has appointed a new director to the board.
24-7 Staffing have named Paul Squires as associate director. Paul joins co-directors Julian and Melody Thompson at the helm of the business, which they set up in 2004. The growing company has a head office in Chippenham, a branch in Yate, and another in Amesbury which was opened in 2015.
The appointment of Paul, who joined 24-7 Staffing last year as Chippenham branch manager, is part of the firm’s strategy to expand while at the same time retaining quality services for clients and candidates, as an independent business.
Paul, from Bristol, has more than 25 years’ experience in recruitment. He joined the sector in 1990, after nine years in the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm. He was with Manpower for ten years, covering a range of roles including on-site contract manager with a major client, then running that client’s three UK sites. In 2000 he moved to Pertemps, again as account manager for a main client, and then helping franchisees of a Pertemps subsidiary company, setting up and developing their businesses.
In 2005, Paul set up and ran his own recruitment company, which he and his business partner later sold. Paul then had a three year break to focus on his interest in property developing, before joining 24-7 Staffing in 2015.
“I am really enjoying the role and very excited to be joining Julian and Melody as an associate director,” he said. “I look forward to further supporting the development of the Chippenham headquarters and the Yate office, and to helping develop the business overall.”
Julian, 24-7 Staffing’s managing director, said: “Paul joined us last year as branch manager in Chippenham, also overseeing the Yate office, and has done an excellent job in looking at the bigger picture for the business and putting strategies in place to move it forward.
“He has an excellent recruitment background, and brings a wealth of experience to 24-7 Staffing, so we are delighted to welcome him to the board and look forward to working more closely with him.”
