On Thursdays our team stand in their doorways, along with thousands up and down the country, to give a huge round of applause to everyone who is helping the country to get through the Coronavirus crisis.
At 8pm, we are there clapping – even banging a few pots and pans – to show our appreciation for our fantastic NHS staff and care workers. We are also applauding the thousands of delivery drivers, supermarket staff and bin collectors who are carrying on working, when they may well prefer to be at home, safe, with their families.
For the 24-7 Staffing team, this weekly Clap for Carers is very personal. We specialise in placing temporary staff in the driving, commercial, industrial and healthcare sectors – two in particular (driving and healthcare) designated as sectors with key workers.
Our fantastic candidates have been the epitome of that wartime slogan Keep Calm and Carry On. The drivers have been working their socks off to ensure deliveries reach supermarket so the hardworking store staff can keep shelves stock.
And our care workers are rising to an incredible challenge and supporting elderly and vulnerable people in the cares homes across Wiltshire; people who – due to lockdown – are no longer able to see their families. For them, our carers and all the other carers in residential and nursing homes are their sole point of contact.
We are proud that we, at 24-7 Staffing, are also doing our bit. Our team may be based from their homes, but they are still working hard to fill vacancies for our clients, to ensure their businesses can keep operating.
