We're looking for a talented Assembly Operative.

Please note: Whilst initially this is a temporary role there is the potential for the role to become permanent in the future.

The Role:
As the Assembly Operative you will be primarily responsible for the manufacture of wiring looms and the assembly of button and water sub-assemblies as specified in current work instructions.
In the job you'll be tasked with the following:
- Responsible for kitting orders as required by Assembly Supervisor. Any shortages found are to be promptly reported to the Assembly Supervisor
- Set up and running of the wire stripping and cutting machine
- Selection of crimp terminations set up and run crimping machine. Use of hand crimping tool where required, e.g. In line crimps
- Assembly of wiring loom from parts made above, using appropriate wiring loom jig
- Assembly of water valve packs, basin fixing packs & button assemblies
- Repairs of defective product under the guidance of the Assembly Supervisor
- "second party inspection" of colleague's assembly work, in stages, as specified in the appropriate work instruction
- Ensuring that allocated tasks are carried out within the agreed time-scales, to the required standard and specification
- Ensuring that any shortfall in standard, whether from a supplied product or an internal process, is promptly reported to the Assembly Supervisor in accordance with current quality procedures
- Raising of ncr's where applicable with the help of the Assembly Supervisor
- Responsible for the general good housekeeping of own working area
- Ensuring compliance with various instructions that shall be issued from time to time by management
- Where appropriate you may be asked to train or help to train other people who need to learn similar work to your own. Everyone is encouraged to not only strive to continually improve their own performance but to help others do the same
The standard working hours for this position are 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 - 13:00 on friday's. overtime is available.

The Candidate:
To be considered for the Assembly Operative role you'll need to be able to demonstrate you are reliable, punctual and can work as part of a team or on your own. Working in an efficient and timely manor to ensure orders go out on time. You will happily take on new challenges and gain a full understanding of how the company operates and be able to work inline with company proceedures.
In addition, you'll need the following:
- Attention to detail
- The ability to follow a drawing, and work to a timescale
- To be nimble, and dextrous as they are working with fiddly equipment
Wiring experience, such as working on a wiring loom would be advantageous and if you have electrical experience that would be great, however you won't be doing any "actual" electrical work. Experience is NOT
