Type of Contract – Permanent

Salary – £20,072 to £22,568 p.a

Hours – 40 hours per week, working earlys, lates and/or nights over  7-day week Or 28 hours a week

About the role – As a Living and Leaning Assistant you will support the young people develop their everyday living skills and any personal interests they have.  Activities include shopping, horse riding, and music therapy, pet therapy, swimming, Yoga to name a few. You will also encourage and guide the young person to cook, clean and wash and give emotional support.  The role may require participation in physical intervention and personal care routines. 

Type of person required – We are looking for people who are able to encourage supportive independence when possible and have experience working within special needs and/or support/care roles (either in a paid or personal environment).  You will need good interpersonal, communication and team working skills. Also, be able to work within a rota pattern (which includes evenings, weekends and some unsocial hours).

Qualifications needed – No previous qualifications are required just the willingness to work towards achieving Level 2 apprenticeship or equivalent for Adults (funded by us).
