Our Client, a provider of supported living are looking for experienced support workers for their Clients, Adults with learning difficulties/disabilities living in their own homes.
We have a requirement for an experienced support worker to help support three gentlemen with learning difficulties in their flat in Salisbury. All three men have a very strict routine which must be adhered to as this reduces the incidence of challenging behaviour We also have requirements for a number of other clients in and around the Salisbury area.
If there is more than one client in supported living, usually, you will be working with one other support worker. However, if it is just one individual, it will be lone working with the support of the Team Leader over the phone.
Interested support workers will need to complete around three shadow shifts, or more if required with a senior support worker to familiarise themselves with these clients. You will be paid for the shadow shifts. All Clients have profiles and care plans on site for reference.
If all goes well with the shadow shifts and you enjoy the role, there will be opportunities for training in Positive Behaviour.
Experience and training in challenging behaviour and medications desirable.
Our Client are ideally looking for support workers who can commit to at least 20 hours a week on a temporary basis and the work will be shift work, late shifts followed by sleeping nights etc.
