24-7 Staffing are an independent established recruitment business specialising in the driving, industrial, commercial and care sectors providing recruitment solutions to our rapidly growing client base. An exciting opportunity is now available for a Payroll /Finance Assistant based in Chippenham.
We are now recruiting for an experienced payroll/finance assistant to start with immediate effect to help run the weekly payroll and invoicing for our candidates and clients as well as providing general finance support to our Finance Manager.
Working as part of a small team you will be responsible for ensuring payroll and expenses are processed efficiently and recorded accurately for up to 250 candidate timesheets per week. You will have a strong eye for detail, exceptional communication skills and be confident with taking on responsibility to improve internal systems.
You will also be resolving payroll and invoice queries with a friendly and approachable manner, combined with a calm flexible problem solving attitude. Previous experience of Sage payroll and understanding of basic HR legislation would be advantageous as well as a keen sense of reliability.
General finance support will include, bank reconciliations, credit control, PAYE, Pension and attachment payments, maintaining the sales ledger, posting payroll journals and other book-keeping duties.
Working hours will be Monday – Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm.
