Job Description

Our client in Chippenham is looking for a Production & Commercial Co-Ordinator to join their team on a Temp to Perm basis but could become Permanent for the right person. Working full time (37.5hrs), Monday-Friday 0900-1730.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

Purchasing

  • You will work from internal quote requests and contact various suppliers daily to obtain the most commercially viable prices
  • Striking up and maintaining a good working relationships with our suppliers is key
  • Once pricing is agreed you will raise external Purchase Orders to suppliers, ensuring accuracy of specifications and pricing

Quality Control

  • You will manage the incoming quality control process with purchased stock
  • Matching stock to agreed tolerances, matching stock specification to PO and reporting internally and externally when non-conformities are identified

Scheduling

  • You will schedule client campaigns into our production schedule, ensuring that the maximum output is achieved across all campaigns

Warehouse management

  • You will also be responsible for inputting deliveries and orders into our Warehouse Management system and ensuring that all deliveries incoming and outgoing are recorded and that the system is kept up to date daily ensuring that all stock is accounted for
  • Managing supplier delivery dates into the Warehouse and reporting any late deliveries
  • Sign off all supplier invoices and attach delivery notes as proof of delivery ensuring that final Invoice matches Purchase Order

The person

  • Must have experience in either print, purchasing or both
  • A team player who wants to make their mark
  • Educated to degree level, with GCSE Maths and English at grades C or above
  • You must have strong administrative and organisational skills with a good eye for detail and accuracy
  • You must be calm under pressure and look to actively seek solutions to challenges that are presented
  • It is essential the individual has a strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint
  • The individual will be required to work well by themselves with limited supervision
