Job Description
24-7 Staffing are looking for a Transport Office Administrator in Chippenham.
- Working hours: Monday to Friday 08:30am - 17:00pm
- Salary: £21,000 - £23,000
Job role:
Answering telephone and email requests.
Generating weekly schedule, fulfilling operations and supply requirements.
Raising reactive and ad hoc work as required.
Managing full-time equivalent shifts and agency requirements.
Checking missed/dropped/non departed and missing route headers daily.
Calling partners and other departments to arrange and book various jobs.
Manually enter contactor loads onto a computer system.
Updating contractor spreadsheet or database when in use.
Informing drivers of changes to shift, loads and vehicles.
Entering holidays (controller to sanction) and sickness into a database.
Sourcing external contractors (controller to sanction).
Generating weekly driver vehicle schedules and changing staff/vehicle subject to leave/servicing.
Liaising with controllers for account system changes.
Sending group texts to drivers i.e. safety messages/shift changes and overtime availability.
Skills required:
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent computer skills.
A proven track record in scheduling vehicles and staff around given constraints.
The ability to cope with a daily changing workload.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to multitask.
A flexible approach to problem-solving.
Methodical with attention to detail.
Knowledge of the transport industry and EU regulations.
