Then look no further, 24-7 Staffing are currently on the lookout for a transport planner to join the busy, fast-paced industry.

We are looking for a hard-working team player who is self-motivated, reliable and an organised individual to join their Traffic Team within a busy transport office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning collection and delivery vehicles within the South West of England.
  • Answering a high volume of phone calls, liaising with drivers
  • Dealing with delivery queries efficiently and effectively, providing solutions.
  • Delivery to timescales, budget and technical quality.
  • Dealing with inbound/outbound emails.
  • Supporting other roles when required (covering sickness & holidays)
  • Shunting when required
  • 4 on 4 off shift pattern

Key Skills

  • Strong geographical knowledge.
  • Understanding of legal compliance and driver's hours
  • Strong organisation and ability meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to touch-type would be highly advantageous.
  • C+E licence

Previous experience in a transport environment is necessary, in-house training will be provided. We would be willing to consider an individual who is eager to learn and develop in a fast-paced office environment.
